KISRA is renovating the former Chew Chat Inn Night Club in West Dunbar, Kanawha County into the Empowerment Center.  The Chew Chat Inn was plagued by shootings, death and decay in the center of the community.  We view the transformation of the building as a renaissance of our community.

 Why the Empowerment Center?

KISRA is developing the Empowerment Center in order to establish a one-stop center for community residents to access services in the areas of education, employment and economic empowerment.  It will be one-stop shopping for citizens with the greatest need.  The two-storied building has a total of 8000 sq. ft.
