KISRA NAMES NEW INTERIM DIRECTOR
CHARLESTON, WV — Reginald Jones, who has served as the CEO of the Kanawha Institute for Social Research and Action (KISRA) December 2016, notified the nonprofits’ Board of Directors of his intentions to leave the organization at their most recent board meeting. His last day will be Friday, July 19. The board has named Michael Jones (no relation), as interim.
Reginald Jones is leaving KISRA to accept the position of Executive Director with Recovery Point, WV, which will allow him to remain actively engaged in serving people in the Mountain State.
“I can’t fully convey my gratitude to the staff, board, and those we serve at KISRA for allowing me the opportunity to work and grow with them,” Reginald Jones said. “I’m proud of what we achieved during my time there.”
Board member Mike Kelley said they are grateful for Reggie’s leadership during his tenure at KISRA.
“We are grateful for the commitment and dedication Reggie demonstrated as the KISRA CEO,” Kelley said. “We wish him well in his new role and look forward to working with him to help further the mission of our respective organizations.”
Kelley further stated that Mike Jones will serve as an excellent interim CEO given his time at KISRA and his knowledge of the nonprofit.
“Mike understands our programs, the people we serve, and is knowledgeable of all aspects of the organization,” Kelley said. “We have faith in his abilities to lead and facilitate a smooth transition.”
Mike Jones will serve as interim CEO until a full-time director can be named. He has served in his current position of Senior Program Manager for the health and employment programs since 2007.
