KISRA was first started by Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church in 1993 at the headquarters in Dunbar, WV. As of 2023, KISRA employees travel to all 55 counties of West Virginia, delivering our classes through the program areas of Health, Employment, Asset Development, and Learning. KISRA has formed many partnerships over the years that has opened many doors which has led to new opportunities for our organization. Overall, KISRA has made a very big impact over the past 30 years on not only our local community, but communities all over WV.
